CAMO FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT?
- August 01, 2017
Two things that are super on trend right now, are camo print EVERYTHING and relaxed athleisure. Camo print may have initially been a way to blend in, but you wear that stuff now and you’re going to stand out like the super stylish BAMF you are! The trick with pulling off camo print is to first figure out what suits you best (cuz there is a fecktonne of different camo-print styles). You can go for the classic camo print (what I’m wearing), or a faded camo-print, pink-and-green camo print, etc.
I styled the tee with a pair of blush, slouchy, woollen drawstring sweatpants for a relaxed, casual-chic look. You can go traditional with a pair of fitted treggings/jeans in a neutral colour. OR, you can take a risk with a skirt/mom jeans/salmon-coloured pants or blush/pink sweatpants like I did!
Throw on a denim or a frayed leather jacket because it is finally Spring (hallelujah) and your favourite pair of sneakers (or heels if you’re feeling FANCY), to complete the look!
Here’s what I love about top-buns. They’re blooming cute, fashionable AF, easy to do AND they’re the perfect solution to a greasy hair day. Listen, I like looking flawless every single day of the week but who has the time to shampoo every other day?! So, here’s a fail-proof trick to look super stylish even on days when you don’t wash your hair. Simply section out your bangs/top portion of your hair (you can even take the top half of your hair if you have very thick hair) and tie it into a messy little bun. The trick to execute it PERFECTLY is by making sure you tie it at the very end of the top of your head. Et voila! You’ll end up with a chic hairstyle and your greasy hair will be perfectly camouflaged.
Keeping with the whole camo theme, I went for a no-makeup-makeup look. There are two things that are absolutely essential for this trendy makeup look – a brilliant foundation that matches your skin perfectly and strobing cream. Apply the strobing liquid on the high points of your face after priming your face (I used the Maybelline MasterStrobe strobing liquid). Then use your fingers or a WET blending sponge and apply your foundation (I used the Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation). Apply concealer if required and set the oily parts of your face (usually the T-Zone) with translucent powder (I used the Rimmel Match Perfection Translucent powder). Apply a nude soft sheen/matte eyeshadow (in a colour that’s closest to your skin tone), mascara, some blush and set it all in with a spritz of setting spray (I used MAC Fix+). Finally, apply a tiny bit of the strobing cream on the highest parts of your face (right after the spray sets) and complete the look with a pink/blush/nude lipstick (I’m wearing MAC Whirl).
So that’s all for today.
Hope you guys enjoyed this!
