Romp The Yard

I know you can’t wait to wear super pretty dresses, now that it’s Spring. But let’s put the dresses aside and talk about how awesome rompers can be. I got this cute AF midnight blue romper on sale at ZARA (thank you universe, for ZARA sales). The colour is BEAUTIFUL, the fabric is soo comfortable and I love love love how structured the actual romper is!
There is this notion, however, that rompers/jumpsuits can make your look fat. That is a complete lie. A well-fitted romper will accentuate your curves and make you look like a bajillion dollars; yes, even if you have thunder thighs like I do. That shouldn’t stop you from looking like a total babe in a short, badass romper!
When accessorising a romper, it’s very important to practise constraint. It’s very easy to get carried away with accessories because rompers can seem boring on their own. But, the key is to let the actual outfit shine. I paired this romper with a very pretty mint green flare-coat. The green colour complements the midnight blue beautifully, and I love how the coat adds some flow to the entire look. I added some understated pizzazz to the look with an oxidised silver woven necklace (with spikes, duh). I opted for a tiny little sling bag from Love Moschino to tie the whole look together!
