Hi, I’m Ranja and I’m a basic bitch. I love my skinny jeans, my Starbucks and my trendy bags. I love edgy fashion, but more often than not, I’ll dress up in stuff from H&M and Forever 21 cuz I need my kidneys too much to sell them off just yet, for some really cool clothes.
Being a basic bitch doesn’t mean that I lack originality or style. It means that I know what’s trending and I know how to make it look good on me. It means that I know...

So winter’s finally gone, and it’s sweaty, pimply, ugly skin season woooooo. FML. I have just the most awful, acne-prone, sensitive skin ever and it has been a lifelong struggle for me to come up with a skincare routine that doesn’t make me want to peel my own face off.
If you have combination skin, that gets dry in winter, but then super oily and acne-prone during summer, then I think my skincare routine will probably do you a world of good. Now, before I start, let me stress on the...

We’ve all grown up learning that when you look a certain way, bright colours aren’t for you. If you’re fat, wear black, bright colours will make you look fatter. If you’re dark-skinned, wear muted colours, bright colours will make you look darker. If you’re curvy, wear dull colours, bright colours will make you look “indecent”. And I don’t know if it was the same for you, but for me, bright pink has been a colour I have been terrified of the most. Because bright pink (eg: fuschia, magenta, etc) is...

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from my mother, it’s the art of jugaad, i.e. customising things you can’t find (read afford) in stores. Splatter-paint-print clothes are soo on trend right now and I’m absolutely in love with them. They’re fun, funky and super chill. But, instead of spending half my allowance on one top, I decided to create one for myself! So I got me an oversized t-shirt from Primark (£2) and some pearl-sheen acrylic paint (£5)! I love this muted pink shade (excellent neutral base), cuz it goes with pretty much everything and...

Two things that are super on trend right now, are camo print EVERYTHING and relaxed athleisure. Camo print may have initially been a way to blend in, but you wear that stuff now and you’re going to stand out like the super stylish BAMF you are! The trick with pulling off camo print is to first figure out what suits you best (cuz there is a fecktonne of different camo-print styles). You can go for the classic camo print (what I’m wearing), or a faded camo-print, pink-and-green camo print, etc.
